CAMP INFO -- Encounter

Encounter is for 7th grade through college age (23ish) and youth leaders.  Nathan Langford (Minister, Pleasantville Church of Christ) heads up the camp and David Howard (Elder, Youth Minister Christ's Church Ottumwa) is our chef for the weekend (it has been said Encounter has the best food of all the camps).

Registration takes place as you arrive at camp which begins on Friday evening with a time of fellowship and continues through Sunday worship.  Bring a Bible with you (electronic or hard/paperback).

Expectations:

Attendees are expected to conduct themselves with modesty, honesty, and Christian behavior. You may be sent home for behavior/conduct issues (fighting, unsafe behavior, profanity, immodesty).

Cell phones are permitted although reception is very sketchy at the campgrounds.

Modest attire is expected and our weather is usually on the cool side so plan accordingly.

Warm bedding is highly recommended.

Food:

If you have any food allergies or special needs please contact David Howard (641.777.3875) so accommodations can be made.

Medical:

David is also a Paramedic and serves as our medical staff for the weekend.  If you have any medical needs or assistance with medications please let him know.
